Join thousands of attendees of all ages for a day-long bazaar of books, authors, readings, and workshops - all free and open to everyone. LVBF's programming is to share resources, develop audiences, advance writing skills, and encourage reading. There's something for everyone, from politics to Las Vegas history, romance novels, science fiction, Latino authors, thrillers, and more. LVBF also has a youth component with a children's area, live author readings, and illustrator demonstrations. The Plaza Hotel & Casino is excited to introduce The Sand Dollar Downtown, a new venue offering live music and craft cocktails. This iconic bar in Las Vegas provides free nightly entertainment from local and national bands, as well as original handcrafted cocktails, pizza, and pool tables. With a larger area of 4,000 sq. ft., the new location can accommodate an estimated 300 guests and is situated adjacent to the casino floor of Plaza Hotel & Casino. With 20 locations across the country, you can take control of a powerful NASCAR-style racecar and drive it around a track. Or, if you prefer, ride along with a professional driver and experience the thrill of high-speed NASCAR racing, reaching a top speed of approximately 165 MPH. Ready to get behind the wheel? The Richard Petty Rookie Experience is perfect for you. You'll drive a 5.8-liter, 358 cubic inch V8 vehicle with 600 horsepower for 8 minutes on a race track. Before starting, you'll receive mandatory orientation, including in-car and on-track instruction and safety training from professional racecar drivers. You'll also get outfitted in a driver's suit, neck guard, and regulation helmet and have a photo session with your NASCAR-style vehicle. Once you've completed your experience, you'll receive a graduation packet and a time sheet showing your lap breakdown.
