Up and coming artists are spotlighted every month and specific works are highlighted in this engaging compendium of creativity that the two of you will remember as an evening well spent.

Downtown Reno celebrates its past and looks ahead to the future during the Pacific Fine Arts Festivals. The event is usually held in the latter part of July, and it features, among other attractions, more than 45 award-winning artists and crafts people showcasing a wide variety of their works including photography, oil paintings, ceramic artwork, jewelry, and lots more.

Before the mining industry exploded to give the area an unprecedented economic boost, the minerals and rocks lay dormant under the surface of the earth. And before the industry of mining cut into the natural surroundings, rocks, silver and other minerals were just waiting to be discovered. The W.M. Keck Museum at the University of Nevada tells the story of that geological history through various exhibits that include fossils, mining artifacts and other items that reveal this fascinating side of Reno's history.
