The Wilbur D. May Center was named after a man who was a Nevada rancher, businessman and philanthropist. May held the institution of the family in the highest regard, and the preservation of the family through learning and fun is what the center is all about. Attractions at the center include traveling exhibits, an arboretum, courtyards and other features. The Wilbur D. May Center is a great choice for both learning about the area and emphasizing the importance and benefits of family fun.

The Sierra Arts Foundation has a very simple mission: to nurture, teach and support by giving back to the local community. Sierra Arts offers various education programs, music seminars and lessons, and presents their very own ElderCare Concert Series that is designed to continue to bring music to the lives of the elderly in the area. The gallery also features nationally renown artists with various rotating exhibitions that continue to help support this organization's noble mission of community-minded service.

Downtown Reno celebrates its past and looks ahead to the future during the Pacific Fine Arts Festivals. The event is usually held in the latter part of July, and it features, among other attractions, more than 45 award-winning artists and crafts people showcasing a wide variety of their works including photography, oil paintings, ceramic artwork, jewelry, and lots more.
