The Nicholas Roerich Museum is dedicated to the works of Russian-born artist, Nicholas Roerich. His work focused on nature scenes from the Himalayas and there are rumored to be thousands of Roerich paintings around the world. His paintings explore the "mythic origins, the natural beauty, and the spiritual strivings of humanity and of the world." The venue hosts about 220 concerts annually in front of the scenic view of the East River and the lower Manhattan skyline.
