The New Jersey Devils have gone 18 straight seasons over .500 – this is the longest streak of its kind by any team in any of the four major sports: football, baseball, basketball and hockey. Records like this mean you know you're in for some hard-hitting sports action at one of these games.

Spend a day exploring the recreation trails at Van Cortlandt Park. The park is home to five trails that stretch out over a mile, meaning you have plenty to explore on an excursion here. There are also other amenities at the park, including tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds, running tracks, barbecue areas and lots more.

The Music Box Theatre is located in Manhattan on Broadway. The entertainment venue opened in 1921 with Humphrey Bogart starring in the first production, Cradle Snatchers. The smaller Broadway theater house has hosted productions like The Man Who Came to Dinner, Of Mice and Men, Wait Until Dark, A Few Good Men, The Diary of Anne Frank, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Lend Me a Tenor and many more. The theater lobby showcases the history of the Music Box.

Let the kids run wild at Hudson River Park. The park is full of kid-friendly activities like tennis courts, soccer fields, batting cages, and a playground. Many New York City attractions are connected by the park, including Battery Park, the World Trade Center site, the World Financial Center, Chelsea Piers, Pier 57, Pier 63, Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum and Riverside Park.
