Pack a blanket and a picnic, and you are set to enjoy the show!  From May through September, jam out to weekend concerts under the open skies, Akron's biggest festivals, and a large number of community events, including the City of Akron's official 4th of July fireworks display.  Winter is also a blast with a host of attractions that include Ohio's largest seasonal outdoor ice skating rink, Reindeer Run sledding hill, holiday shopping, Breakfast's with Santa, Polar Putt-Putt and more. Winter is kicked-off every year with the Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony exploding the night sky with fireworks.

Get a different perception of the world’s past at the Akron Fossils & Science Center. This family-friendly center presents a variety of hands-on exhibits and attractions designed to showcase the fossils and artifacts from the view of creation science and intelligent design, rather than the accepted scientific models of planetary and animal evolution, making it one of the most unique museums of its kind in America.

Built on 70 acres of country estate, the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens consists of a 65-room manor, the seventh largest house in the US, and ten outdoor gardens. See traditional English and Japanese gardens without ever leaving the country, or visit the conservatory to learn more about the rare plants this facility grows.
