See where the 27th president of the United States was born and raised when you come by the William Howard Taft National Historic Site. This two-story Greek Revival house has been perfectly preserved and meticulously maintained over the years. Established as a National Historic Site in 1969, this house is now open as a museum for the public.

This simple, 5-mile recreational trail follows the riverfront starting from the famous Newport Southbank Bridge, originally known as the L&N Bridge and popularly dubbed the Purple People Bridge.
