Climb aboard one of the country's most significant pieces of history when you visit the USS Cod Memorial. This is a World War II era GATO class fleet submarine that allows visitors to explore history from a truly deeper perspective. The USS Cod is listed as a National Historic Landmark and is docked in Cleveland. Visitors not only have the opportunity to tour this historically significant vessel, but also can learn more about it through a handful of interesting exhibits as well as the various materials that are available in the souvenir and gift shop.

Put the pedal to the metal when you burn rubber on the giant oval driving course at Airport Go-Karts. This is the largest and fasted go-kart speedway in Ohio and the folks at Airport Go-Karts have been keeping that tradition alive for 35 years. They offer two classes of karts that include Rookie Karts for kids and smaller drivers and Pro Karts for kids 16 years of age and older and for drivers with significantly more experience behind the wheel. The park is open seasonally, so make sure to check the website before your rev it up and go!

A popular destination for aquatic recreation is Wallace Lake in Berea. Not only is the lake plentifully stocked with rainbow trout to please the many anglers who visit, but you can also enjoy a swim or a canoe ride on the water too. If you prefer to stay dry, then enjoy the lake from the shore as you picnic or just bask in the sunshine.
