Maumee State Park offers plenty of enticing natural amenities. One of the most popular is the availability of two sand beaches. Even though the bar may be called Village Idiot, this is one of the smartest destinations for nighttime fun. This bar attracts a primarily young, alternative crowd of 20 and 30-year-olds. Live music is featured every Thursday through Sunday night and the bands perform everything from alternative to blues to Dead Head classics. The atmosphere is trendy, as the nightlife venue features high ceilings and an expansive area to mingle and dance. The attire (and atmosphere) is cool but casual.

Every performer in the Valentine Theatre has their heart in the right place. The entertainment venue is located in downtown Toledo and has an impressive history of being open for the past 108 years. This comfortable theater features an obviously vintage vibe but also boasts a state of the art light and sound system that ensures you won't miss any of the action onstage. The 901-seat facility presents various productions throughout the season to the delight of many Toledo theater enthusiasts.

The Blair Museum of Lithophanes in Toledo is a multifaceted experience in both history and art. A lithophane is a three-dimensional translucent porcelain plaque that was first created in Europe in the 1820s. When backlit, these works feature several intricately etched images and are nothing less than stunning. The largest collection of these pieces can be found at the Blair Museum, as it is home to works that that were created as far back as the 19th century.
