There's fresh, and then there's farm fresh, and that is most definitely what you will find when you shop at the Toledo Farmer's Market. This group of vendors is well worth finding, as they are located within the same area as the Erie Street Market which is indoors, but there are various vendors who set up tents in and around the area. You will find an unmatched selection of homegrown produce and herbs as well as baked goods, handmade crafts, plants and fresh cut flowers.
Enjoy the scenery while learning about some interesting pieces of history when you take a tour on Toledo's Sandpiper Boat. Jermain Park in Toledo is a favorite destination of mountain bikers as it offers a recreation trail that is accessible for beginners but challenging enough for more experienced riders. You can access the park from the Jermain Park parking area. The route of the trail runs counterclockwise with beginner areas demarcated clearly before the trail moves along to the higher more intermediate hills.
Even though its name may suggest something low key and quiet, Frankie's Inner City Lounge is anything but sedate. This is one of Toledo's premier nightlife venues for new and alternative rock and features a powerful combination of live bands and DJs every night of the week. The mood changes from night to night depending on what band or musical theme is on the menu, ranging from guitar bands on Tuesdays, open mic night on Wednesdays and industrial and Gothic music on Fridays. A cool, happening and loud place, Frankie's is not for the fainthearted.
