This is a stunning Federal-style structure that dates back to the 1830s and features art, furniture and other items that give an even more detailed picture of a domestic setting. This museum also features several adjacent structures that include a log home that once stood on the banks of the Miami and Erie Canals, an 1840s-style farmhouse, a railroad depot, a church and an 1840s Greek-style home.

Copper Moon Studio showcases the unique creations of area artists. This is one of the area's most endearing shops, and in addition to seeing some amazing locally produced art, there is also an equally inviting selection of mementos and gifts that are highly appealing in both their style and presentation. Among the many great finds here include jewelry, stained glass, paintings and photographs. There are even garden accents, mirrors and mosaics available, too.

Make history as a couple by revisiting some aquatic history when you both pay a visit to the SS Col. James M. Schoonmaker museum ship in Toledo. This vessel has been a vital part of Toledo's skyline as it is moored near the city's International Park. This impressive ship has been said to be the world's largest bulk freighter, and it is a mighty example of engineering function and artistic style. It has since been renamed the Willis B. Boyer Museum Ship. Its maritime heritage awaits you when you step on board and experience this symbol of a bygone era.

The Black Swamp Arts Festival is usually held every Labor Day Weekend in downtown Bowling Green, Ohio, which is just twenty miles south of Toledo.
