There are classic events, and then there are classically classic events like the Oregon Bach Festival held the last part of June and into early July. Under the superb leadership of Helmuth Riling, the festival presents the choral and orchestral masterworks of Sebastian Bach. The event is held in Eugene at the University of Oregon's Beall Concert Hall and the Hult Center for the Performing Arts as well as other cities in Oregon.

Eugene's WOW Hall is a truly historic building that is owned by the Community for the Performing Arts. This is a nonprofit organization that has impressively preserved the vintage Woodmen of the World Hall as a truly memorable performing arts venue. Various performances as well as art exhibits and other entertainment are offered at the WOW Hall, supported by approximately 900 members and 400 volunteers.

Eugene's Oregon Ducks is the star football team of the University of Oregon. The sports team is a part of the Pacific-12 Conference, PAC 12, and has a penchant for winning and wearing flashy uniforms – the Ducks are known for having unique uniforms and wearing a new style every week. Nike is the current designer of the team's uniforms.
