Step into one of the city's oldest public places and visit Ankeny Plaza. Within the plaza, you'll find the Skidmore Fountain which has been hailed “as one of the finest fountains in American art,” and is the oldest piece of public art in the city. The plaza also has a number of preserved historic buildings, and Portland's popular Saturday Market event is held here as well.
Get the most peaceful view of the city possible from above on an aerial tour with Portland Rose Hot Air Balloons. You'll see the Willamette Valley, Lake Oswego, various vineyards, and all the glory of Oregon from the open space of a hot air balloon. Upon landing you'll feast on a champagne brunch and revel in the memories of your adventure.
Be serenaded by the sounds of jazz music at the Portland Jazz Festival. The festival is hosted in effort to preserve an original American art form: the jazz music genre. Legends of the genre and up-and-coming jazz musicians have performed at this event.
