Go for a ride on the Portland Aerial Tram and see the city from a whole new perspective. You'll see everything from above, from the South Waterfront district to the Oregon Health & Science University campus. The ride averages about three minutes long.

The PCS is one of the largest regional theaters in the nation, and along with performances, the entertainment venue hosts a variety of educational programs and workshops.
Be serenaded by the sounds of jazz music at the Portland Jazz Festival. The festival is hosted in effort to preserve an original American art form: the jazz music genre. Legends of the genre and up-and-coming jazz musicians have performed at this event.
Escape the city for some fun on Sauvie Island. The island is large, boasting its own rivers, lakes, and islands, and its plentiful natural beauty has made it a popular destination for outdoor revelers. Sauvie Island has several areas for hiking and biking, and is also a great place to experience birdwatching, hunting, and fishing. On your way to the island be sure to look to the horizon to catch a pristine view of the Cascade Mountain Range, including Mt. Rainer, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Jefferson.
