The park offers amenities and attractions like a basketball court, a soccer field, a baseball field, a tennis court, paved walking paths, and an off-leash dog area where pups can roam free. There's also a playground where the kiddos can run wild and picnic tables where everyone can hang out together.

Grab your skis and get ready to conquer a mountain with a little help from the Timberline Lodge. The lodge is located on the south side of Mount Hood and provides the nation's longest skiing season. Along with skiing, Timberline's recreation area hosts snowboarding, hiking, and climbing. Fun fact: aerial shots of the lodge were used as part of the opening scenes of Stanley Kubrick's film adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining.

See a little piece of literature that's been brought to life and immortalized at the Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden. The sculptures here were created in the likeness of Cleary's most beloved characters, Ramona Quimby, Henry Huggins, and the Huggins' dog Ribsy. The statues are complete with fountains that create a fun environment to play, and also feature plaques with the titles of Cleary's Portland-based stories.
