Get crazy at Portland's only dueling piano bar. The Barrel Room Rockin' ShowBar features food, drinks and music – a few of a nightlife lover's favorite things. Step into one of the city's oldest public places and visit Ankeny Plaza. Within the plaza, you'll find the Skidmore Fountain which has been hailed “as one of the finest fountains in American art,” and is the oldest piece of public art in the city. The plaza also has a number of preserved historic buildings, and Portland's popular Saturday Market event is held here as well.

If you've seen the Portland skyline, then you've seen the St. Johns Bridge, and sure, you may have even driven over it. But forget the wheels; get your walking shoes and cross the bridge by foot, as many locals have suggested. A good workout and a beautiful view from an historic bridge will prove to be a highlight of your time spent in Portland.
