As you walk through Independence Mall, be sure to pop into the National Constitution Center to learn more about the birth of America. As the Birthplace of America, it is fitting that the nation’s first and only nonpartisan institution devoted to the Constitution is located in Philadelphia. Although known for its Italian heritage, the Bella Vista neighborhood which hosts the market is one of the most ethnically diverse Philly neighborhoods. You can find everything from farmers' markets to restaurants, bakeries and cafés selling specialty foods from all over the world.

Planned by William Penn during the late 17th century, Franklin Square is one of the five original open-space parks in Philadelphia. According to local legend, this park is where Benjamin Franklin conducted his famous "kite and key" lightening experiment. This square is dedicated to outdoor fun, with a carousel, mini golf course, fountain and playground located on the premises.
