Laugh your socks off at the Improv Comedy Club in Pittsburgh. Enjoy a performance by an up and coming local star or see a nationally known performer showcasing new material at this popular comedy club and nightlife venue. There’s not a bad seat in the house, but be prepared to become part of the performance if you sit too close to the stage!

Visit the site of the historic Fort Pitt Museum in downtown Pittsburgh. Strategically built at the forks of the Ohio River in 1759 and added onto in 1764, the current two-story museum first opened to the public in 1969. Learn about the role the Steel City played in shaping the United States through interactive exhibitions and attractions, and recently added artifacts.

Spend some time exploring the outdoor jewel of Pittsburgh’s North Side. Riverview Park offers an extensive network of trails through its dense woodlands and dramatically steep hills for hikers, joggers, and the occasional horseback ride. Riverview is also home to the Allegheny Observatory, a space-themed playground, a visitor’s center, a swimming pool, ball field and many picnic areas.

You may have to drive a bit to get to the Big Butler Fair, but the trip is worth it. One of the largest and best festivals in Western Pennsylvania, Big Butler is a chance to enjoy fireworks, the midway, games, demolition derbies, concerts and truck pulls that are not typically seen in Pittsburgh.
