Learn about art that spans ancient Roman sculpture all the way up to modern graphic design. Some of the many highlights and attractions include the 19th century French galleries that feature the work of Matisse, Rodin and Monet, just to name a few. You'll also be captivated by the beautiful pieces that are part of the Greek and Roman galleries that include sculptures and frescoes. By the time you experience all 45 galleries, you'll be an art expert!

Sometimes, the best family adventures are the ones where you just spend quality time together playing a game of catch after chowing down a picnic lunch. The perfect place to do that in Providence is Richardson Park. The kids will love the PlayBooster and PlayShaper attractions as well as the Humpty Climbers and swings that are all part of this beautiful park. For the older kids, there's fun to be had on the basketball courts, a water park and the big expansive lawn. An afternoon of great family fun awaits at Richardson Park.

For a completely different biking or walking experience, make your way to Swan Point Cemetery. This historic site features beautiful plants and monuments. Walking or slow biking on the trail is allowed. Also, out of respect for the families who have loved ones buried here, proper attire is requested.

Kids love to play on fun playground rides. But in doing that, they can also learn about the importance of being a good neighbor when you take them to the Peace and Plenty Community Park. This long-awaited community playground attraction has been in the making for some time, and now that it has been unveiled, it symbolizes the importance of working together. Neighbors, community families and the City of Providence Parks Department have all collaborated to create this fun place on the site that was once an old apartment building. Since that structure was demolished, this beacon of unity stands in its place for friends and families to enjoy.
