Elvis Week in August is the perfect time to dust off your blue suede shoes, coif your hair and don your best white suit. Located across from Graceland mansion, this festival features recorded music from the legend himself, as well as performances by a variety of Elvis impersonators.
For a touch of art integrated into the beauty of nature, visit the Crystal Shrine Grotto. This man-made cave is located inside Memorial Park Cemetery and features the work of Mexican folk artist Dionicio Rodriquez. Ten scenes depict the life of Jesus Christ, but even non-Christians will appreciate the beautiful art and the peaceful ambiance of this grotto.
