Take a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown at Court Square. This urban park is a small haven for those in the city. One of the original city squares, this plaza offers the shade of a pavilion, beautiful Greek statues and cooling fountains. Look for the occasional outdoor concert, lunchtime karaoke and even visits from the circus elephants!

St. Louis Cardinals fans will want to visit their Tennessee affiliate. The Memphis Redbirds are a Triple-A minor baseball league that plays in downtown's AutoZone Park. Since forming in 1998, the Redbirds have won two league titles, two conference titles and three division titles. Be sure to stay after the sports action for a fireworks display.

Although the Wolf River Conservancy is continuing to develop the greenway, parts of the Wolf River Greenway are already open to the public. Located along the gorgeous Wolf River floodplain, this greenway winds its way through the undisturbed forest and along the largely unspoiled river.

The oldest and most successful community theater in the state, Theatre Memphis was founded in 1920 and continues to provide Memphis with enriching theatrical performances and entertainment. Theatre Memphis runs a yearlong season, with 10-11 shows and a sprinkling of special events each season. Catch a variety of performances, from drama to comedy to musicals, such as Chicago, Emma, The Importance of Being Earnest and the annual A Christmas Carol.
