Stretch your legs at the Lichterman Nature Center. With over 65 acres of land filled with lakes, meadows and forests, the Lichterman Nature Center is a natural oasis in the urban landscape. The indoor and outdoor facilities feature wildlife, microscopic discoveries, a two-story forest boardwalk and an underwater viewing area.

For a unique collection of art and artifacts, visit the Belz Museum of Asian & Judaic Art. Located near the famous Peabody Hotel, this specialized art museum features the largest and most comprehensive collection of Chinese art in the southern region of the United States. The museum is privately owned and stores a large permanent collection, it also hosts a number of events throughout the year.

For a touch of art integrated into the beauty of nature, visit the Crystal Shrine Grotto. This man-made cave is located inside Memorial Park Cemetery and features the work of Mexican folk artist Dionicio Rodriquez. Ten scenes depict the life of Jesus Christ, but even non-Christians will appreciate the beautiful art and the peaceful ambiance of this grotto.
