The Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show takes place every fall at the Amarillo Civic Center and features over 450 companies showcasing the latest agricultural equipment and the newest information through special presentations, workshops and seminars. Nearly 30,000 attendees from the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles attend the show, along with visitors from New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas. Everyone from farmers to ranch workers to businessmen who deal with farming and everything that goes with it, make it a point to be in Amarillo for this show.

The schedule is always busy throughout the year with such popular performances as Verdi's Rigoletto as well as specialized engagements that spotlight mariachi music and other cultural influences in the area. The Amarillo Opera constantly strives to deliver unforgettable performances, and at the end of your night at the opera, you won't leave disappointed.

Immortalized in Bruce Springsteen's song of the same name, Amarillo Cadillac Ranch is a visually arresting attraction that has real Cadillacs seemingly growing out of the Texas soil. Located just outside of town, 12 miles to the west on I-40, the site is the creation of Stanley Marsh 3, a land and broadcasting mogul and easily one of Amarillo's more powerful figures. Marsh's eccentricity and taste of the unusual, as well as his love for Cadillacs, fueled his ambition to create this memorable attraction and photo opportunity on the North Texas skyline.
