Comanche Trail Golf Complex is owned by the City of Amarillo. The original Tomahawk Course was designed by Charles Howard, Austin Texas and opened in July 1990. The course offers professional practice facilities including a large full length driving range with many tee areas, two large practice greens with chipping areas, and a sand bunker to practice short or long shots. Comanche Trail Golf Complex is home to Major Area Championships, Charity and Civic Golf Tournaments, Customer Appreciation Events, along with many Church, Family Reunions, and Class Reunion Outings. The Arrowhead Course was opened in May 1999. The layout was designed by Cupp Design, Atlanta Georgia. Both golf courses offer championship golf at affordable prices. The layouts are Scottish style links nestled in the heart of the Texas Panhandle.
