Arlington's Upstairs Gallery has maintained an impressive forty-year tradition of featuring the work of Arlington-area artists as well as the work of artisans from the surrounding metro-plex. That scope has produced a truly unique collection of work, from the traditional to the modern, presented in various mediums. The gallery also encourages budding artists to follow their muse by offering classes for kids, teenagers and adults over the course of the year.

Arlington's Holiday Lights Parade is a family favorite. The city officially illuminates its Christmas tree and the event provides lots of family activities and entertainment provided free of charge.
