Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts presents more than 50 free outdoor concerts a year in Downtown Arlington across from City Hall with a broad-based performance calendar of professional music artists including international, jazz, home-grown Texas Country and trail-blazing Indie artists. The Levitt spotlights and gives prominence to original artists many of whom have become Grammy Award winners.  Over 100,000 make their way to the Levitt Pavilion each year and in addition to enjoying the freshest sounds, the real focus is about building community as families, school groups, neighborhoods and people from all parts of the area to join side-by-side in a safe, fun, casual atmosphere to enjoy live music together. Enjoy a low-key but fun family day out when you head to Woodland West Outdoor Park and the Dottie Lynn Rec Center. Pack a picnic lunch and make sure the kids bring their frisbees or footballs so that they can play in the park's outdoor field areas. Also, remember the swimwear since the pool is open in the summer, and making a splash is the perfect way to cool off. Other amenities include playground equipment, a tennis court, restrooms, and a basketball court.
