Play "Old Muny," the affectionate nickname for Lions Municipal Golf Course, is the most popular golf course in Austin, earning high ratings every year by area residents. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens mean you'll find a good share of challenges throughout this 18-hole course. The golf course was constructed by the Lion's Club and has hosted such noteworthy golfers including Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Tom Kite and Ben Crenshaw. Of note, the 16th hole is known as "Hogan's Hole." Lions is home to two major tournaments every year. The Firecracker is one of the oldest amateur golf tournaments in the state of Texas, and the Spring Partnership is held every spring.
