The Texas Sealife Center dedicates its time and effort to creating a haven for native wildlife who live on the property and patients in need of care. Their mission is to rescue injured or stranded coastal and aquatic wildlife, providing supportive care and rehabilitation, successfully releasing wildlife back into their natural habitat, and educating and promoting public awareness in the conservation efforts to save wildlife.
South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center showcases colorful and unusual plants, including cacti, hibiscus, roses, plumeria, and orchids. Explore the Arid Garden, Water Garden, Sensory Garden, Butterfly Garden, Hummingbird Garden, and the shaded Bird & Butterfly Trail. Located on the first floor of the Art Department, the Cain Art Gallery intends to appeal to a wide audience stimulating and educating the student artist while providing a source of cultural enrichment for Del Mar College students and the wider community.
