Take an easy and meaningful stroll through The University Galleries at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi which include both the Weil Gallery, located on campus on the First Floor of the Center for Arts on campus and the Islander Art Gallery, an off-campus facility located at the intersection of Staples and Weber Roads. Here you will be subtly impressed by the traditional gallery spaces used for the exhibition of work by TAMU-CC graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, and visiting artists from the local, national, and international contexts. Exhibitions held at these venues serve the immediate Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi campus as well as the greater Corpus Christi community and beyond.
Take a whack at mastering the fairways at NorthShore Country Club. The golf course plays for a par of 72 over 6,805 yards. While you're there, visit the clubhouse to see a gorgeous view of the course and the Corpus Christi Bay from the facility's floor-to-ceiling windows.
Eat some of the best shrimp that South Texas has to offer at the Aransas Pass Shrimporee festival, the largest of its kind in the state. The festival takes place every June and cooks up plenty of shrimp dishes that won't leave you hungry. Word to the wise - don't eat too much before getting on the carnival rides!
Have some fun in the sun at the Aransas Pass Aquatic Center. The family fun attraction is equipped with water slides, and a 50,000-gallon kiddie pool to ensure the whole family has a splashing-good time. Remember to use sunscreen!
