Grab your sails and suit up for the Portland Windfest, a family festival with endless fun, where you can enjoy three on three Basketball Tournaments, a BoardHouse Skateboard Show, Racing Pigs, Swimming Pigs, and a Tug-of-War Challenge, which is sure to keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. Portland Windfest will blow you away with fun over classic favorites like Noahs Way Exotic Petting Zoo, Antique Tractor Show, Mechanical Bull Ride, Pony Rides, Youth Golf Tournament, Horseshoe Tournaments, Chili, Rib, Brisket, and Kid’s Pizza Cook-off, the All Dog Costume Parade, Arts and Crafts, Food Booths, Parade and Carnival.
Check out Concrete Street Amphitheater for an amazing outdoor concert experience in Corpus Christi. It's hosted some of the biggest names in music, including Nine Inch Nails, Willie Nelson, 311, Rob Zombie, Miranda Lambert, Snoop Dogg, and many more. The main stage is located at the back of the park and is open-air, so you can enjoy the show under the stars. It's huge, with space for up to 10,000 fans, so you can be sure it will be an unforgettable experience. If you prefer a more intimate setting, check out the Pavilion stage, which holds up to 3,000 people and is covered in case of rain. And don't worry about getting hungry or thirsty, there are plenty of concession stands where you can grab a bite to eat or something to drink. They've got everything from pizza and nachos to hot wings and juicy burgers. And of course, they've also got a great selection of cold beers and margaritas.
Witness the artwork by local students, faculty, and regional and national artists at Cain Art Gallery at Ayers campus of Del Mar College, where you will be encouraged to appreciate and understand art in a new and proficient way by exploring its role in society through direct engagement with original works of art displayed in a dignified, distinguished, and noble setting. Located on the first floor of the Art Department, the Cain Art Gallery intends to appeal to a wide audience stimulating and educating the student artist while providing a source of cultural enrichment for Del Mar College students and the wider community.
