Corpus Christi Ballet is a highly esteemed dance company that takes pride in representing the city throughout the Southwest. Their participation in the Southwest Regional Ballet Festival each year is a testament to their dedication to the art of dance. Additionally, the Ballet Works for Kids program is a fantastic way for the company to contribute to the education of young dancers in the city. The lecture demonstrations and Children's Spotlight on Ballet performances at Selena Auditorium are excellent opportunities for children to experience the beauty and excitement of ballet firsthand.

South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center showcases colorful and unusual plants, including cacti, hibiscus, roses, plumeria, and orchids. Explore the Arid Garden, Water Garden, Sensory Garden, Butterfly Garden, Hummingbird Garden, and the shaded Bird & Butterfly Trail. Take the opportunity to mingle with fluttering butterflies, who will often stop and rest on an available arm or shoulder. Be adventurous and hike the nature trail through 30 acres of native brush to see native plants, deer, javelina, and coyotes.

Commemorate the legendary Tejano star, Selena Quintanilla, as you walk through the Selena Museum, where you can view her many accomplishments that have been put on display so that her loving and adoring fans from around the world can feel closer to the singer who left us too soon. As you stroll through the museum, you'll see her music memorabilia, performance outfits, a collection of pictures, awards, and even her iconic red 1986 Porsche. If you want more Selena, visit her statue by the water or pay your respects at her gravesite.
