Their mission is to bring world-renowned artists to perform for a diverse audience, and they offer a variety of programs to achieve this goal. In addition to concerts, the Society provides educational opportunities and community outreach programs that encourage young people to pursue excellence in music and other areas of their lives. They also offer special community programs that make classical music education accessible to a wider segment of the population. With up to seven chamber music outreach activities offered each concert season, the Society is committed to enriching the lives of everyone in the community.

South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center showcases colorful and unusual plants, including cacti, hibiscus, roses, plumeria, and orchids. Explore the Arid Garden, Water Garden, Sensory Garden, Butterfly Garden, Hummingbird Garden, and the shaded Bird & Butterfly Trail. Take the opportunity to mingle with fluttering butterflies, who will often stop and rest on an available arm or shoulder. Be adventurous and hike the nature trail through 30 acres of native brush to see native plants, deer, javelina, and coyotes.
