The Corpus Christi Chamber Music Society is dedicated to sharing the beauty and magic of chamber music with people of all ages in South Texas. Their mission is to bring world-renowned artists to perform for a diverse audience, and they offer a variety of programs to achieve this goal. In addition to concerts, the Society provides educational opportunities and community outreach programs that encourage young people to pursue excellence in music and other areas of their lives. They also offer special community programs that make classical music education accessible to a wider segment of the population. With up to seven chamber music outreach activities offered each concert season, the Society is committed to enriching the lives of everyone in the community.
Return to the past as you step aboard the USS Lexington Museum, where you'll experience the World War II aircraft carrier that symbolizes the perseverance and determination of sailors, pilots, and military personnel who fought for freedom during the war. The floating museum features self-guided tours through the ship's maze of tunnels and ladders. Five self-guided tours cover 100,000 square feet and 11 decks. Sections of the ship that are open to the public include the hangar deck, engine room and sick bay, gallery deck, flight deck, navigation bridge, pilot house, and a chart house.
