Nasher Sculpture CenterNasher Sculpture Center

The Nasher Sculpture Center is a museum that reflects the passion and wonderment of its founders, specializing in modern and contemporary sculpture, where art is displayed in both indoor and outdoor settings. The sculpture center includes a garden filled with intriguing pieces from the collection of Raymond and Patsy Nasher. When the Nashers began collecting, they were guided by their instincts and purchased works that simply moved them. Their collection is extremely varied and include modern works and postwar creations, covering a vast array of materials and interpretations. Certain artists are strongly represented to the delight of many professional curators, including 11 sculptures from Matisse, 7 from Picasso, four from Miro and 13 from Giacometti. The Center is located on 2.4 acres next to the Dallas Museum of Art. The collection features works by the following artists: Harry Bertoia, Constantin Brâncusi, Alexander Calder, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, Paul Gauguin, Willem de Kooning, Mark di Suvero, Alberto Giacometti, Barbara Hepworth, Ellsworth Kelly, Henri Matisse, Joan Miró, Henry Moore, Claes Oldenburg, Pablo Picasso, Auguste Rodin, Richard Serra, and David Smith.
