Broaden both your imagination and cognitive skills with a visit to Insights El Paso Science Center offering interactive science education experiences to the Border Region. Here you will join nearly 8000 annual visitors, 1700 student field trips, access to their collaboration with UTEP and El Paso Community College at their dinosaur-themed pop-up museum exhibit and brand new exhibits every year. You will be inspired with the mission of Insights which creatively and with profound innovation promotes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education through exploratory, interactive learning experiences. You will discover as thousands have that Insights is a vital resource for the community by inspiring curiosity and promoting collaborative and cross disciplinary thinking.
The majestic mountains surrounding El Paso have earned a six-week festival, known as "Celebration of our Mountains." Events usually begin in October and include bird watching, nature hikes and drives, mountain biking and bat watches. There's even a "Coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, and the tramway" event.
Keystone Heritage Park is an archeological site, an archaic wetlands and a botanical garden making it the perfect spot for birdwatchers. It is home to many species of birds and is a stop on a migratory route with over 193 species of birds have been spotted here, including 22 species considered rare by the Audubon Society.
