Stuck In Traffic? You're Not Alone. New Data Show American Commute Times Are Longer
09/20/2018 5:08pm

If you feel like your commute is taking longer, that's because it is. New survey data show the average American's commute inched up to 26.9 minutes from 26.6 minutes the previous year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's 2017 American Community Survey . That 18-second increase may seem small, but it totals an extra two and a half hours on the road for Americans last year, according to the Washington Post . Total commute time has been steadily rising, with more than 14 million people now spending an hour or more traveling to work in 2017. "The longest average travel times are generally associated with large metropolitan areas," Brian McKenzie, Chief of the Journey to Work and Commuting Statistics Branch of the U.S. Census Bureau says. McKenzie says the East Stroudsburg, Pa. metro area has the longest average one-way travel time, clocking in at about 37.9 minutes. The shortest average travel times, usually less than 20 minutes, were in Cheyenne, Wyo. and Grand Forks, N.D. Sam Schwartz

Zaif lost 5,966 Bitcoins, currently valued at more than $6,000 each, as well as some Monacoin and Bitcoin Cash, the amount of which Tech Bureau is currently investigating, according to the released statement. Tech Bureau said it will sell a majority of its shares to another financial services corporation in Japan, as reported by CCN . That sale is supposed to provide over $40 million to be used to replace the funds stolen from customers. Cryptocurrency exchanges are similar to a stock exchange or currency exchange that might be found at a bank or airport , except that users are trading decentralized

World Sports Agency Reinstates Russia After Doping Scandal
09/20/2018 4:31pm

The World Anti-Doping Agency has reinstated Russia's state anti-doping regulator after a major doping scandal that reverberated across international sports. The move has been roundly condemned by anti-doping advocates. The reinstatement of RUSADA, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency, is subject to conditions. Nine members of WADA's executive committee backed the decision. Two voted against it – the agency's vice president and Oceania. Europe abstained. "WADA understands that this decision will not please everybody," WADA President Craig Reedie said in a statement . "The pressure on WADA to ensure that Russian sport is genuinely clean now and in the future is one we feel very keenly and we will maintain the highest levels of scrutiny on RUSADA's operations and independence." The news was welcomed in Russia. According to the state-run TASS news agency , Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets said the country "has done a huge job on creating transparent and clear conditions for the effort
