Take a tour through history at The Printing Museum, chronicled by the advent and modernization of printing methods, and learn how the printed word transformed modern culture. Your tour starts with the development of ancient Mesopotamian clay tablets, then the invention of moveable type and Gutenberg's printing press. Along the way, gain a better understanding of how newspaper accounts of major wars, the distribution of the Gutenberg Bible, the Declaration of Independence, and other pivotal documents chronicle the printing revolution and its impact on society.
Visit the Chapel of St. Basil, based at the University of St. Thomas. Designed by renowned architect Phillip Johnson, the chapel includes three functioning bells, a custom-built organ, and an overall style reminiscent of historic European churches. The chapel hosts Mass every day. It seats about 225 people and is lit from the inside by natural light from the dome, a skylight over the altar, and the statue of Our Lady on the east wall and from the asymmetrical glass cross on the west wall.
Compete in a modern-day spin on putt-putt golf at the Puttery, where you can say goodbye to mini pencils and windmills and hello to digital scorecards, craft cocktails, and culinary creations. Fully immerse yourself in the game with cocktails crafted exclusively for each course, so play them all to try them all. Whether you need a corporate team-building event or a milestone birthday party, make any special occasion a memorable night out at the refined putting lounge.
