Join Sisters Grimm Ghost Tours as they guide you through the streets of old San Antonio and bring the storied past to life with their many ghostly tales. Meet the native tour guides whose ancestry originates with the early founders of San Antonio. Dressed in period dress, they will light your way with their lanterns through the strange and unusual tales of centuries past, legendary stories, folklore, and ghostly experiences.
Boot scootin' boogie your way to the Thirsty Horse Dance Hall, a no-cover country-western dance club with live music by up-and-coming bands. Enjoy the mix of classic and modern country songs as you dance or nurse your drink at one of the three bars filled with drink specials you are sure to love. Absorb the great vibes, watch the toy horse races, or join in on a game of pool as you surround yourself with the welcoming company.
Make a genuine connection that will last a lifetime as you venture through Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo, where you will experience hands-on encounters with some of your favorite furry, feathery, hairy, and scaly friends. You may even get a chance to hold some of these beautiful animals, if they are up to it, of course. As you stroll through the grounds you’ll see the Clawed Otters, Black Mambas, Blue Headed Macaws, Fennec Foxes, Grey Wolves, Jaguars, Spotted Hyenas, and snakes galore, all unique in their own ways. While you're at it, catch a perfect view of the bison and longhorn as you take a break under the shaded deck. Stop by Two Rivers Mining, Co., the Zoo’s very own gemstone mine for an incredible opportunity to pan for gemstones, fossils, crystals, and shark teeth!
When you visit the Texas Air Museum at Stinson Field you will learn about the famous “Flying Stinson Family” and find out why San Antonio is considered to be the birthplace of American military aviation. The museum represents vintage aircrafts centered around World War II, the Pacific and European theaters of that conflict, and covers in detail the early period and “golden-age” of aviation. Be sure to check out their gift shop containing toys, models, and more.
