The Waco Cultural Arts Fest is an event designed to celebrate the diverse multicultural influences in the area through artistic expression like music, performance, food and various arts activities. The festival takes place at Indian Spring Park and features free admission, fine arts activities all day and a continuous open mic for aspiring performers. Held in the middle to latter part of September, the event draws visitors from all over the state, especially families with kids interested in art. These young festival-goers get a chance to create art in various forms during the three day event, and will come away from the festival with a deeper appreciation for the state's cultural and artistic influences.

Hawaiian Falls is the perfect place for the whole family to take the plunge! Beat the Central Texas heat by diving into one of the two pools, slip and slide on the series of slides that tower up 22 feet, test your swimming skills in the competition pool or maybe opt for the beach entry pool with interactive toys. Not only will the kids have much to do, mom and dad can relax in the shaded rest areas and enjoy some great snacks at the reasonably-priced concession booths. The Texas Rangers are legendary for their commitment to justice in Texas as well as their unwavering bravery and heroism. That is duly celebrated at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum. This attraction recognizes and memorializes the lives of 30 Texas Rangers who gave their lives in the line of duty and served proudly. Inductees are selected by a distinguished pane of retired Rangers. History and heroism is proudly on display at this museum that offers a look at a unique slice of Texas history.

Take a leisurely walk, hike, spread a picnic banquet, pitch a tent for camping or rent a campsite cabin, explore with geocaching, enjoy the wildflowers in the prairie, or explore the canyon trails. Interact with various displays at the visitor's center to learn more about this Texas treasure and its rich history.
