This premier maritime-themed science center and museum is located just a short drive away in nearby Norfolk. The attraction opened its doors in June of 1994 and is located on the former site of Norfolk's banana pier. Interactive theaters, hands-on exhibits and many special presentations are all a part of the Nauticus experience.

The John Cary Weston House is a structure that figures significantly into the area's history. Upon first glance, you will be struck by its Richardson Romanesque Revival architecture which is adorned by a granite ashlar with brownstone trim. The building has served many purposes, some of which were a Presbyterian church and a Christian Science center. Tours are available during regular business hours.

Go on an unforgettable nautical adventure when you get on board the Carrie B. Harbor Cruise. In addition to offering popular cruise packages, the vessel also offers special charters that are perfect for any family celebration or corporate outing. The Carrie B. is a replica of a Mississippi riverboat that even features a paddlewheel. The river boat can accommodate up to 300 guests and once on board, everyone can enjoy a full bar service and the spectacular views from the climate-controlled deck.
