The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is one of Richmond's most beautiful attractions. This natural haven of flowers and plants is highlighted by picturesque paths and vistas that invite you to take a leisurely, relaxing walk. Spread out over 24 luxurious acres, the Ginter Botanical Garden features various landscape designs, seasonal displays and gardening techniques. Also on site, you'll find a truly breathtaking example of a Victorian garden as well as Bloemendaal, an 1888 Victorian manor that has been meticulously maintained to retain its regal, commanding appearance. History and pageantry balance perfectly at this truly unforgettable garden.

Maymont began as the 100-acre Victorian estate of Major James H. and Sallie May Dooley. The couple's mansion was complete in 1893 and over the next three decades they created lush garden scenery, picturesque landscapes and beautifully crafted outbuildings. Today, visitors can not only enjoy all of that natural allure, but there are such amenities as the Maymont House Museum, historic gardens, a carriage collection, nature center, wildlife exhibits and a children's farm to enjoy, as well. Still, there are several choice spots to enjoy an outdoor picnic on this inviting piece of historic land.

Breathe in the regal beauty and majestic grandeur of Richmond when you take a tour of the Capitol Square and Virginia State Capitol. The dramatic Civil War history and other episodes seem a little less heated when you experience the classic beauty of the State Capitol. The tour also includes a chance to see the surrounding grounds.
