There's nothing ordinary about spending a day outdoors at the park when your destination is Virginia Beach's Great Neck Park. You can enjoy such activities as enjoying a game on one of the many ball fields, shoot hoops on one of the basketball courts, enjoy fun at the horseshoe pits, or enjoy a friendly game of volleyball. The kids will love the large playground areas, and there are sheltered pavilions and restrooms conveniently located throughout the park.

Get a totally different perspective of some of Virginia's most notable natives when you experience the Virginia Legends Walk. This unique walkway commemorates the work of some of the most influential Virginians like Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, Edgar Allan Poe, Douglas MacArthur, Robert E. Lee, and Arthur Ashe, just to name a few. It was inaugurated in 1999 and new names are regularly added to this fitting and entertaining tribute.

You never know what hidden treasures await to be discovered when you visit the Barrett Street Antique Center. You will find many items here that range from antique dolls to vintage furniture and much more. These classic pieces make up an antique inventory that has been obtained from over 130 dealers. Also, there are various auctions held during the week that feature some of the most noteworthy and collectible items.
