The park was established in the 1930s, and also is noted for being the northernmost point at which temperate and subtropical plants coexist. This is the area's newly renovated, three-mile stretch of boardwalk that offers an excellent choice of restaurants, outdoor cafes, shops and entertainment. There are even outdoor music performances and concerts scheduled at various times throughout the year.

Tradition is something that the Little Theatre of Virginia Beach is quite familiar with. This group is proud to be the area's oldest continually-operating community theater with 60 very memorable seasons of entertainment behind them! This is a non-profit organization that aims to maintain its mission of providing a quality theater experience at affordable prices. The group stages five big productions a year over the course of its regular season which runs from September to June.
