The area is also known as Chesapeake Beach and you can comfortably stretch out on your beach blanket to sunbathe, take in the scenery or swim in the protected shallow waters.

Rev it up for a good time with the family when you make Virginia Beach's Motor World part of your plans. This is most definitely your attraction for racing, as this go-kart raceway and fun center features 11 race tracks as well as a staggering 250 karts from which to choose. Of course, safety is the top priority, but so is having a lot of memorable motorized fun. The park also features a plentiful concession stand and an area where mom and dad can relax while the kids go karting around the track!

Great melodies and skilled voices intertwine every time the Virginia Beach Chorale takes the stage. This is the oldest continuous performing arts group in Virginia Beach, as the chorale gave its first performance back in 1958. The group has worked on developing an impressive entertainment repertoire that includes classics, Broadway, jazz and even rock. The group performs two main concerts a year that include a spring show and a special Christmas presentation.

There's nothing ordinary about spending a day outdoors at the park when your destination is Virginia Beach's Great Neck Park. While planning a relaxing picnic lunch on a big blanket is a great idea, there is so much more here to experience. You can enjoy such activities as enjoying a game on one of the many ball fields, shoot hoops on one of the basketball courts, enjoy fun at the horseshoe pits, or enjoy a friendly game of volleyball. The kids will love the large playground areas, and there are sheltered pavilions and restrooms conveniently located throughout the park.
