The ballet was established in 1975 and has been preserving the art of classical ballet and dance entertainment in Virginia Beach ever since. The group is a forum in which aspiring dancers can develop their talents as well as work toward being a part of the group that stages various productions throughout the year. These performances are funded in part by the City of Virginia Beach in cooperation with the Virginia Beach Arts and Humanities Commission and the Virginia Beach Foundation.

This is a 200-year-old plantation home that has been restored down to the last detail and is open for guided tours and special events.
