If you visit Seattle University, be sure to show your support for the Seattle Redhawks. These intercollegiate varsity athletic teams consist of eight men´s sports and nine women´s. Part of the NCAA Division I, the Redhawks compete against other universities in baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, swimming and more.

This area served as the city´s first neighborhood and urban center, and is currently protected as a historical district with several preserved buildings and homes from the Victorian era and earlier.
