Challenge yourself at the municipal West Seattle Golf Course. This classic layout consists of an 18-hole, regulation length course. The front nines play on relatively flat terrain but the back nines are extremely hilly, giving the course a total slope rating of 119. Watch out for water hazards and wind interference.
Walk through the outdoor sculpture garden on a romantic date at the Olympic Sculpture Park, operated by the Seattle Art Museum. This public park features large, contemporary sculptures in both permanent and visiting installations. In addition to admiring the beautiful art and meandering through the green landscaping, you can also take a stroll down the beach.
Explore the over 300 acres of Green Lake Park, an expanse of water and nature in the middle of a crowded urban neighborhood. Pack a basket for a picnic, bring your swimsuit to go swimming or boating in the freshwater lake, or hike, bike and skate along the 2.8-mile path that stretches along the water.
Come by the First Thursday Art Walk in the historic Pioneer square neighborhood for an afternoon and evening of local art and music. Check out the vendors´ wares–everything from handmade jewelry to clothing and other unique items are for sale between the dozens of public art installations and galleries.
