UW Waterfront Activities Center
Visit the university district near the University of Washington for a wonderful day of watery fun. The UW Waterfront Activities Center offers canoe and rowboat rentals to the general public, as well as special discounts for students, alumni, faculty and staff. Spend a day on the water enjoying recreation almost any day of the week from January until November.
Olympic Sculpture Park
Walk through the outdoor sculpture garden on a romantic date at the Olympic Sculpture Park, operated by the Seattle Art Museum. This public park features large, contemporary sculptures in both permanent and visiting installations. Take a fun photo with the Fremont Troll. This large troll sculpture can be found under the Aurora Bridge–a place the descendants of Scandinavian immigrants believe is a magnet for troll sightings. This unique site is the perfect place to take a tourist or group picture, and is a local favorite.
