When you venture out to the Dishman Hills Natural Area, not only are you destined to see one of Spokane's most beautiful natural scenes, you will be visiting one of its most historic. Named after A.T. Dishman who extracted tons of granite from the site to help rebuild Spokane after the Great Fire of 1889, the area offers several desirable activities for nature lovers. There is a two and a half-mile hike that traverses Eastwood Pond which is available seasonally from March to November. In addition, there are several excellent spots for picnics, family fun and running around. Or, if you prefer, you can just sit and take in the amazing outdoor beauty.

Basketball lovers in Spokane (and from around the world) hoop it up every last weekend in June for Hoopfest. This fun and highly anticipated festival was established in 1989 and is the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world. Participants can range from everyone from kids to NBA players. The event attracts more than 40,000 people every year.

The Wonderland Family Fun Center really lives up to its name! The kids will totally enjoy themselves at this highly popular attraction for family fun. Some of the fun activities that are available include indoor and outdoor mini golf, video games, laser tag, batting cages, go karts and lots more children's games. There's also an area for mom and dad to relax as well as an excellent restaurant on site to help satisfy those worked-up appetites. Wonderland Family Fun Center is one of those special places that the kids never seem to get tired of visiting.
