When you venture out to the Dishman Hills Natural Area, not only are you destined to see one of Spokane's most beautiful natural scenes, you will be visiting one of its most historic. Named after A.T. Dishman who extracted tons of granite from the site to help rebuild Spokane after the Great Fire of 1889, the area offers several desirable activities for nature lovers. There is a two and a half-mile hike that traverses Eastwood Pond which is available seasonally from March to November. In addition, there are several excellent spots for picnics, family fun and running around. Or, if you prefer, you can just sit and take in the amazing outdoor beauty.

One of the most popular tours in Spokane is a walking tour known as Sculpture Walk. Begin by stopping in to the Visitor Center at 201 W Main to get your map. The Sculpture Walk winds through Riverfront Park and moves along the Centennial Trail. The original starting point is Washington State University's downtown campus and extends out to the southeast corner of the Monroe Bridge. See some truly intricate sculptures along the way, while getting some good exercise in the process.

Get some good exercise while rolling around on a pair of roller skates at Pattison's North Skating Rink. Enjoy the fun of leisurely skating along the rink's surface to some of your favorite music. It's a fun way to get the family together. And if you or your kids don't know how to skate all that well, don't worry! There are plenty of rails to hang on to as well as an area for intermediate skaters that will give you plenty of room to roll!

Your kids will be entertained for hours when they go on an adventure at Mobius Kids. This pint-sized museum is big on fun and activities for children, as it offers a wide variety of interactive exhibits and games that teach kids about everything from bicycle safety to science to various types of cultures. The whole family will enjoy this engaging, highly unique experience that the kids will remember long after they've grown up!
